One series of videos that I always found entertaining was from back in the day before they introduced shared cooldowns on trinkets (AP+PoM+ToeP+ZHC), and one rogue wondered why we couldn't do the same. So he made an epic trilogy of videos. Elihu, Da Trinket Rogue.

Depth's video has some pretty crazy parts, including a rated 5v5 arena match vs one of the Catalyst teams... during one part of the match, it's depth + pally vs 4 catalyst folk... and they manage to win.

Yeah, Depth's video is ridiculous. A lot of great fights in there, but it ultimately shows one major thing imo, and we all know what that is....

I see exactly what you are dancing around, avoiding, and praying against nightly....
Truth be told, a lot of those squishies didn't have a lot of hp, and I really hope I get the opportunity to fight Depth 1v2 with my team... watch his ass get pwned so hard he won't even know what happend.

Warriors without a healbot are fodder more than any class. Warriors with a 'pally' healbot are insane. It still takes good gear and skill to do well. Before arenas, when warriors whined about getting smoked in PvP, the general response was "lolz, get a healer nub!'. In arenas, where we have offensive and defensive dispells and healers, we do well.
Many other classes do as much (or more) burst damage in PvP but no one else has mortal strike. I think if they nerf mortal strike, it will just drag out arena matches to be 10 minute long healfests.
Maybe, healing in arenas is OP'd and mortal strike/wounding poison are the only thing that balances it....it's hard to say really. I've seen double pally groups that are nearly impossible for melee to deal with. Every arena team has a counter...none have gone undefeated for the season.

Whenever I see the 1v2 videos, I always wonder how many they had to lose to come up against 2 scrubs that they could beat. I mean honestly, how many mages consistantly lose 1v1 against warriors. If the druid had healed or hell, even cycloned the Depth, he wouldn't have won.

I hear you Bruttall, I have a level 70 warrior and I won't pvp with him anymore because of the simple fact that unless you have a pocket healer it's one of the most frustrating experiences in the game. However, you won't fool me into thinking that IT takes MORE skill to do well as a MS warrior than any other class in the game. As a matter of fact I'd argue that most of this game is pretty simple and repetitive ESPECIALLY for a Paladin/MS warrior combo.
Paladin = Heal, Cleanse, BoF, DS.
Warrior = Charge, Hamstring, Mortal Strike, Deathwish, Mortal Strike, Execute. Intercept the blinked mage or vanished rogue....
I'm not saying it's easier or harder than anything, I'm just saying it's simple like most of the game.

Warhammer..who's with me? Afuckinmen! WoW = Waiting on Warhammer... A bunch of the peeps in CapDom were heavy PvP'rs in DAoC. It will be nice to see another game where PvP can actually change the game/world rather than just be a leisurely way to spend an afternoon. I remember (years ago) a relic raid meeting a big defense force in Daoc....it had to have been a 300 person battle. I was amazed (and had plenty of time to look around because of the lag) and it felt like you really were part of something heroic. I look forward to seeing what Mythic will come up with for Warhammer.

I'm gonna try Warhammer but Im not expecting anything huge out of it. I love the small group combat of 5-10 people in WoW.
As far as Depth goes, he does a couple things in those 2v1s that are a bit hard to notice. He intercepts the healer as hes about to get their heal off, then goes back on target. And don't rag on the pally/warrior combo too hard, there are still plenty of things for both to do for the combo to be effective. If you watch the 2v2 with Fireace/Zahar you notice they put a lot of pressure on the pally as part of their strategy. He did a very good job of staying away from the mana burn yet close enough to dispel Depth. I have to play my pally almost exactly how I played my priest in arenas back in that day; if not even more defensive since my offense is limited to a stun and 1,200 damage or so in a 3 second burst.
